Nestled between the mountains and sea, scenic Cow Head Newfoundland is located on the northern boundary of Gros Morne National Park.

On your visit to NL, make Cow Head one of your stops and plan to visit the Dr. Henry N. Payne Community Museum and Craft Shop.(voted as a place to see in Gros Morne by the American Tour Bus Association)

Flying
If you plan to visit NL by flight, the quickest way to get to Gros Morne National Park is to fly in to Deer Lake.  You can rent a car in Deer Lake and take Route 430 North (The Viking Trail).  In approximately one and a half hours you will reach Cow Head.

Driving
If you are driving to NL, drive to Nova Scotia and take the Newfoundland ferry.  The ferry will arrive in Port Aux Basques.  From the ferry, take the Trans Canada Highway east. 
After approximately a three hour drive you will arrive in Deer Lake.  Drive route 430 North and within one and one-half hours, you will arrive in Cow Head.
